Postie for WordPress – Mobile Phone blogging
Category: General Posts| February 19th, 2008I am finally setting up mobile phone blogging, or moblogging as some people call it. The goal is to set up my blog so that I can take a picture on my motorola Q and send it via MMS to my blog. I am currently using Verizon Wireless so I need a way to strip their bullshit text that they add to every MMS message. This is what they add:
“This message was sent using PIX-FLIX Messaging service from Verizon Wireless! To learn how you can snap pictures with your wireless phone visitwww.verizonwireless.com/getitnow/getpix.To learn how you can record videos with your wireless phone visit www.verizonwireless.com/getitnow/getflix.To play video messages sent to email, QuickTime® 6.5 or higher is required. Visit www.apple.com/quicktime/download to download the free player or upgrade your existing QuickTime® Player. Note: During the downloadprocess when asked to choose an installation type (Minimum, Recommended or Custom), select Minimum for faster download.”
I have found a wordpress extension called Postie that should do they trick, it claims to have a feature that allows you to strip a signature which I will use to get rid of this Verizon text. We’ll see soon enough.
