According to Snopes.com, it turns out lemmings are not suicidal as we were led to believe… Walt Disney and his cronies forced them off the cliff in the famous video. Lemmings do occasionally try to swim between islands and many end up drowning… not quite as good a story as marching off a cliff by the dozens for the good of the species. Walt probably had Kurt Cobain’s suicide staged too… what a crock.
