Global warming, global cooling, global dimming… these are all buzz words that relate to the larger issue of climate change.  The planet might get warmer, colder, the clouds may dim out the sun, or it might suddenly start raining beer. Ok maybe not the last one, but I am a bit of a dreamer and have my buckets ready…

The fact that we are seeing one of the worst winters on record is just as much cause for concern as hot summers or as the swirling continent of trash in the Pacific.  This is not about taking sides and declaring global warming a hoax or a definite or that Al Gore is a fool.  We just need to realize that the Earth is a relatively closed system and that our actions will have long-term and short-term effects that we can’t yet predict. As humans we will most like survive whatever change takes place and
there is little we can do to stop the population expansion and resource
consumption of our race.

… I’m hoping for a beer storm or at least a few more cold snowy winters…  Can you say beer blizzard?
