There seems to be a bit of confusion surrounding my nickname and the name of the website. The girls are always asking why I’m not called clean, handsome, intelligent and funny Pete. They make not-so-subtle inquiries into my bathing habits, my medical history, and casually sniff when in the vicinity. Let me set it straight once and for all. The nickname was born during 4 summers I spent working excavation. I was a glorified ditch digger and everyone knows what happens when you work all day in the dirt…

…You get very dirty. During this time period I would come home from work at night,  scrub myself clean, and then sit down at the computer and get to work. While my friends were joking about my daily coat of grime, I was getting pretty good at building websites and learning the ins and outs of internet business. I let the name stick because it meant something different to me. To me it represented getting to work and getting your hands dirty. It meant not being intimidated because I was young or inexperienced, it meant never giving up on an unsolved problem. During college this idea took hold as I decided to complement my studies by starting an eBay business. Why learn only from an edited and limited textbook when I could get out in the “Real World” and throw myself into the fray?

The beauty of internet business and design is that there is always a way, this name represents my work ethic and will.
